Our programs
Education
Education is at the heart of our mission to empower Guatemala’s youth. Through our Education Program, we provide scholarships, annual school backpacks, and daily tutoring sessions supported by teachers and virtual tools. We also offer didactic materials to help children complete their homework and succeed academically. Over the past 12 years, we’ve distributed over 1,000 scholarships and 1,600 school backpacks, ensuring that children not only attend school but also have the resources they need to excel. Additionally, we provide vocational training for mothers and accelerated education programs endorsed by the Ministry of Education.
Health
Access to healthcare is critical for every child’s well-being. Our Health Program addresses this need by offering primary medical support, including essential medicines and doctor visits. We also organize regular medical campaigns, focusing on dental, nutritional, pediatric, and general health services. With limited access to healthcare facilities in the region, we partner with organizations to provide these services at an affordable cost. Through this program, we are improving the health and quality of life of children and their families.
Nutrition
At Project Genesis, we believe that proper nutrition is the foundation for a child’s growth and success. Our Nutrition Program provides children with daily, balanced meals packed with essential nutrients and vitamins to support their physical and cognitive development. Since launching in 2013, we have served over 150,000 meals and eliminated malnutrition among our participants. By addressing hunger, we ensure that children are ready to learn, grow, and thrive.
Vocational Training
Our Vocational Training Program equips participants with practical skills to break the cycle of poverty and build sustainable futures. Focused on empowering mothers and young adults, we provide hands-on training in areas such as traditional cooking, baking, and entrepreneurship. Through these programs, mothers learn how to start their own businesses, creating opportunities for economic independence. Our long-term vision includes establishing a catering service to offer employment and make this program self-sustaining. By teaching valuable skills, we help families achieve financial stability while fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment.
